In October, 2024, Shawn and I headed to Osoyoos in our RV. We stopped at Spotted Lake and took a picture from the road. Spotted Lake is sacred to the First Nation’s people of the area. The minerals in the lake create colours and spots. I noticed one burial site but did not put it in the painting. Some of the foreground images are scraped into the paper. This is one of my most favourite paintings I’ve completed. I took liberties with the grey on the lake to create drama. $350. Watercolour by Courtenay Pitcher. 9 x 12″ on 140 lb paper.
